SKINNYME TEA DETOX REVIEW!

Here is the review that I watched to inspire my reinstatement to skinny me tea! She reiterates exactly what I would be using the tea for. She did not use the tea to get skinny, but focused more on cleaning out her body and clearing her complexion. She had positive results all around!
Comment below if you have any questions, as I have done the TeaTox before.

Skinny Me Tea :)

Remember I told you guys for 2014 I wanted to live a healthy lifestyle? Well, now seems like a good time to start...

I wanted to start by telling you that I renewed my gym membership! and I started back up with my new obsession, SKINNY ME TEA. I used it once before when I needed a body cleanse, and honestly it worked wonders. I was feeling gross, and really congested internally, and I had heard about this tea from a friend. It is created with all natural spices and herbs, all made to increase metabolism, and encourage body fat loss. The dose is one cup a day, and it really makes a difference! No I am not trying to loose weight. I just want to get my body looking toned while living a healthy lifestyle! Shown below are the different flavors along with the benefits from each tea, this time I'm trying the tea with black elder fruit :)

Detox Herb Tea

Ingredients:

black elder fruit, hawthorn fruit, nettle leaves, chicory root, knotweed herb, lovage root, dandelion root, rosehip peel, sweet flag rhizome, flaxseed, peppermint leaf, fennel fruit, orange peel, Garcinia cambogia, camomile flowers.

  • Black elder fruit, hawthorn fruit and leaves of nettle - supports the proper functioning of stomach and intestines. Black elder fruit is considered to be an effective cleanser of  the body’s harmful waste products. Both black elder fruit as well as hawthorn fruit are slightly laxative.
  • Chicory root, dandelion root and fennel fruit - addition of these three herbs contributes to stronger and more effective effects based on stimulation and stabilization of proper functioning of digestive and urinary systems as well as gallbladder.
  • Lovage root - helps to remove excess water from body and excess of uric acid and chloride ions.
  • Sweet flag rhizome, peppermint leaf, chamomile flowers - through beneficial effect on digestive process they contribute to better absorption of nutritients supplied with food.

I just ordered mine! You should too!!

What is Love?

So what is love?
Here's my definition...

As stated before, I have been blessed to have met and interacted with a handful of powerful women. Some of which were family, some were not. The only thing that is important amongst these many women are the experiences I have had with each. Experiences that left a lasting effect on me while growing up. This valentines day I wanted to sway from the typical "valentine"; I wanted to use this opportunity to express what love really is. I will do that by giving you snippets of how I fell in love...with me.

1.
This first anonymous tribute goes out to a woman who takes pride in independence and self reliance. She is the strongest, most confident person I have ever encountered in my entire life. She gives endlessly and expects nothing in return. She struggles just like the rest of us, but still finds time to cross items off of her bucket list. I love her. She taught me how to be fiercely INDEPENDANT.

2.
This woman is who I aspire to be as I grow old. She cherishes family, and gives even to those who don't deserve. If there is anyone on this earth that I trust it is this woman. I love her. She taught me how to trust.

3.
My next valentine inspires me simply by experiencing life. Whenever I turn my head she is on another trip, soaking in the lavish views of a new and mysterious place. She is never sitting still. I love her. She reminds me that one of my most cherished goals is to see the world.

4.
There is a certain comfort in selfishness. This woman lives by this theory. I love her, because she taught me that sometimes I have to put myself first.

5.
This woman was introduced to me about a year ago. When I first met her she had a certain charm that gleamed of innovation and self made beauty. She lived a life that no one approved of but her. And that's what made her happy. She invented a life that allowed her to bloom and have her voice heard. I love her. She taught me be confident in whatever I do, and that I am a QUEEN.

6.
This woman was recently blessed with a child and one on the way. With work, her children, her husband, and her home life, I'm sure her glass of stress is quite full. However, if you ever look at this woman, she is always smiling. I love her. She taught me to be positive no matter what.

7.
I lost this woman about three years ago to a rare bone cancer. She was 17 years old, and was the bravest person I had ever met. I remember sitting with her on her bed talking about life the day before she passed. She said " I never got to drive, or go to prom, or experience college... but because I'm here with you.. everything seems alright." I love her for that. She taught me that sometimes friendship is the most important thing.

Growing up, I fell in love over and over having met many powerful women. Every encounter leaving a lasting effect on me. Now I am a 20 year old coach, friend, student, girlfriend, daughter, niece, granddaughter, etc. and I am in love with ME. I have the capacity to be independent, trustworthy, well traveled, selfish (at times), inventive, confident, positive, friendly, happy, and a plethora of other things. All of these traits come together to make who I am. And I'm in love.

Happy Valentines Week!
XOXO

Power.

I had an incredible realization today. As a women I am typically looked at as inferior, weak, and simple minded. I am also on the tail end of the spectrum of maturity simply because I am 20. I made the decision that I am no longer going to live by that paradigm. I am intelligent, I have ideas, and I have every intention of starting something new and fresh.

I'm going to make BB known.
I am going to make sure I make a difference.

Cheers to being a powerful woman!

Wait on it...

BLACK HISTORY MONTH! #WeWomenHaveEvolved

To start, I would like to give a HUGE shout out to my long lost sister Christina. She is the reason I picked up blogging. She got me thinking about my personal evolution both as a person and as a woman. She reminds me everyday that I am beautiful and that I can accomplish anything with hard work, a good attitude, and confidence. She is the reason why I am blogging about my evolution. Today, she opened my eyes to the fact that it is black history month. Don't get me wrong, I definitely knew what month it was, I just hadn't had enough time to address it yet. So thank you Christina for getting the ball rolling...

Because it is black history month, I wanted to do a segment on how appreciative I am for each and every black woman in history that paved the way for me to live the life I do today. It is because of their perseverance, persistence, and confidence that we as women have evolved into people who are entitled to rights and a voice. I will forever be grateful for my history.

I am blessed to have powerful women inspiring me everyday to be a better person. I look at each and every one of them as a role model, taking bits and pieces from each, to build a better me.

Happy Black History Month!

Goals!

It never occurred to me how important setting goals is for each and every person that is willing to accomplish something. Along with goals comes with commitment, preparedness, and a sense of accomplishment. Goals are vast and can be used large or small. Something as small as finishing a homework assignment or just simply cleaning your room. Or sometimes as large as graduating, or buying yourself a car.

Over the years I have set a plethora of goals for myself. Some have been modified, some have been achieved, and some have been forgotten. I would like to start this year with a more driven mindset on the idea of goals. I would like to set some goals for myself right here, for the world to see. Hopefully this pressure will compel me to actually fulfill these goals. So to start:

1. I would like to become healthy and fit.
- I can achieve this by eating healthier, drinking lots of water, and finding a workout schedule that works for me!
2. I would like to pay off my $5,000 debt owed to my last college, which will earn me the credits I finished at the college, enabling me to graduate at the end of this semester
3. I would like to find a part time job to ease my money pains
4. I would like to book a trip somewhere with a friend
5. I would like to save up $2,000
6. I would like to grow out my natural hair
- I will do this by sticking to my regimen
7. I would like to be financially independent

Reaching all of these goals will be a triumph, however I am fully equipped and enthusiastic about embarking on all of these mini journeys. Now that I have all of my thoughts written down, I am sure I will be able to accomplish my goals :)

We are all beautiful no matter what shape or size. So have confidence in yourself and everything that you do! Self love is the first step to personal progression! So start smiling, and strut your stuff :)

Marley.

After a 2.5 hour installation, I was introduced to my Marley Twist!!! I am absolutely obsessed with this style. I was also blown away by my new growth! I had such a great day deep conditioning my hair, and then heading straight to the salon to install my new protective style. Hopefully this lasts about two months. I will grease my scalp with coconut oil every other day since that was my regimen that lead me to my new two inch growth :) stay posted!!

P.S. I would like to introduce my man Chris :) lol he made an appearance today, so I figured he should be introduced!!
